The Need for Personal Injury Restitution

While many people have surely heard the term personal injury they may not truly understand what this term actually describes. What personal injury refers to is the instance of an individual suffering physical harm as the result of an accident. If the accident is due to negligence (for example, a doctor's failure to diagnose meningitis in a child) then there may be recourse for the injured party to take in the form of a personal injury lawsuit. While some may scoff at this notion there are a host of financial calamities one may have to deal with if they are injured and because of this the need to recoup monetary damages is critically important. After all, someone has to be responsible for the costs associated with an injury. Why not the responsible party?
